The Umpqua Ultimate Bike Ride

The ride will be 40 or 60 miles of the most beautiful scenery in Oregon.
Start and finish at Sutherlin's Central Park.
Enjoy your ride through Douglas County's best biking country. You will pass wineries (stop for a taste or tour), historic farms, cross a covered bridge and ride along the famed Umpqua River from Tyee to Umpqua. At the finish, enjoy a hot meal, beverages and friendship at the Sutherlin Community Center.
Start at park off Central in Sutherlin, east on Central out Highway 138 3 miles then right on Stearns Road. Continue on Stearns Road merging onto Rochester Bridge Road crossing covered bridge at 4.5 miles left onto Green Valley Road to Higway 138 11.4, travel west for 3 miles then right onto Tyee Road to Ft. McKay Road 36.5 (Break at Umpqua Store or Henry's). Go left onto Ft. McKay, (OPTION: Cole Road Loop, 6.5 mile loop with 2 mile climb average 6% - at approximately the mid-point of the Cole Road Loop, take a break and enjoy wine tasting at Misty Oaks Vineyard; there will be a shuttle to the winery and a volunteer to watch your bikes) to Highway 138, 42 miles then west onto Central back to Sutherlin Park. 44 total miles (52 miles with option) .
